Solar Powered VW Supercar defines new aesthetics for Eco cars

The Solar Powered Volkswagen Supercar is Peter Wilkins’ entry to 2010 Swansea Metropolitan University Degree Show in automotive design. The concept not only addresses the sustainability and environmental problems in the best way, but the design also demonstrates that eco friendly vehicles can be aesthetically pleasing. Car’s external surface has meticulously been designed to allow the vehicle to have road presence and be aerodynamically feasible at the same time. Adding to its eco friendly credentials are integrated photovoltaic cells, positioned on the upper external surface, which harvest solar energy to provide vital juice to mid mounted hydrogen fuel cell stack that apart from providing clean and green ride also add more to driving experience.
